SPECIAL EVENTS AND SCHEDULE CHRONOLOGICAL

The total number of immigrants in the Chaco, according to the MCC, was 2,474 people, but officially operates Neuland who had reached 2,331 people.

Some important dates:

1949. It chooses the first Administrative Council, the colony is called "Neuland" and formalises the Cooperative Neuland. Shortly later installed a representation of the cooperative in Asuncion.

1949. It produces the first telephone communication with Fernheim.

1951. Inauguration of the hospital "Concordia".

1952. Grand opening of high school.

1953. The school operates in buildings themselves.

1961. Empowering Route Transchaco.

1963. Construction of the classroom magna (multipurpose).

1968. Empowering a sports field for young people.

1972. Ending the term of the first manager, Mr Peter Derksen, after 25 years of practice. That year the number of inhabitants of Neuland low to 970 people (due to emigration). At this time also began the mechanization of agriculture.

Over the next few years there is a significant development thanks to favorable circumstances and a very aggressive economic policy by the new manager, Mr Alfred Bartel.

1974. Creating Agricultural Service Intercolonial.

1976. Centralization final of the primary schools.

1978. Installation of a social insurance in the three colonies of Chaco. This insurance includes payment of a pension for people from the age of 65 (equivalent to 20% of the minimum wage in force).

1982. Installation of a fire insurance and damage caused by storms. It was added insurance for vehicles.

1983. Installing the camp "Aurora Chaco."

1987. The Cooperative Neuland introduced the electronic system for data processing.

1987. Creation of the Social Committee.

1992. Empowering youth centre. Construction of the premises itself in the year 1995.

1993. Dissolution Service Intercolonial.

1993. Creation of the Youth Orchestra.

1994. Boquerón Hotel opens its doors.

1996. The new Supermarket Neuland offers its customers a wide variety of products.

1998. Electrification of Chaco for ANDE, which is financed with a loan by the Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau of Germany.

2001. Inauguration, Mariano Roque Alonso, the Fridge Neuland.

2007. Construction of the slaughterhouse Cycle One in Villa Hayes.

2007. Neuland turns 60. The number of inhabitants amounts to 1,800. The cooperative has 655 active partners.
