Estancia Potsdam

Potsdam is a ranch owned by the cooperative and is located 50 km to the west of Neu-Halbstadt, the Center of the Colony.

It has an important reserve of pasture land and cattle, with about 4000 head of cattle kept here. When taking into account the volume of production, the national sales and the lately constantly increasing meat export, this ranch constitutes an important supply reserve for Frigorífico Neuland – Neuland Cooperative's meat processing plant.

The ranch constantly buys up cattle for the wintering period, passing it on to Frigorífico Neuland after reaching its recommended slaughter weight.

The ranch also keeps a breeding herd where the Brahman, Santa Gertrudis and Gelbvieh breeds are bred and reared.
