Neuland Colony's Communications Department is made up of those departments that focus mainly on the communication, collection and documentation of information. It is responsible for the local newsletter, the post office, the local radio station FM Neuland, the web page of the Colony and Cooperative, and the press work for Radio ZP-30 and TV Chaqueña.

The main objective of this department is to coordinate and optimize the flow of information in and for Neuland Colony. So, for instance, the people in charge of these different means of communication get together for monthly meetings where they review and evaluate the past activities and prepare an overview and advance plan of the coming information activities. The information sources are to be utilized as much as possible and new ideas contemplated and suggested so that readers, listeners and viewers can be provided with information that is as current and objective as possible from local, national and international sectors.
The Mailing Department is responsible for making sure that the written means of communication (letters, newsletters, packages, newspapers, etc.) are delivered to the respective addressees in an appropriate shape and time frame. All the mail is passed on from here whether it is a mailing within the colony or within the country or even for abroad.
It is the responsibility of the Neuland Representation in Asunción to make sure that international mail reaches the Colony. The employees at the post office sort and distribute the mail to the addressees: Every member, or rather, every family has its own mailbox and picks up it its mail here.
"InfoNeuland", the monthly newsletter for German-speaking readers, strives to cover the most current information and events in the Colony/Cooperative, as well as to convey educational and advisory content. Most of the articles are written by local authors.
Every quarter also a Spanish newsletter called "Marandy Apy'te" is published to facilitate communication with the Spanish-speaking residents.
The local radio station FM Neuland broadcasts cultural, social, economic and spiritual programs in Spanish, Nivacle, German and Low German with the goal of informing, reporting, counseling, educating, teaching and entertaining.
An effort is made to have local correspondents who gather and pass on information and articles from and about Neuland to the regional radio station ZP-30 and the TV station TV-Chaqueña.
A web page is supposed to help make information so accessible to readers in the Internet that they are informed as objectively as possible and are kept up-to-date.
It is always a challenge for the Communications Department to find the necessary reporters, authors, speakers, translators or proofreaders to write, revise, translate or speak the needed texts for all the various means of communication.
