The land registry office registers all the land and properties of the members and is also responsible for the conservation and protection of the environment.

When people in Neuland talk about the environment, they look especially at the use zoning plans for the land that demand the preservation of a certain expanse of natural bush and forest. The farmers and especially the ranchers, who need big grazing areas, have to abide by these policies. The plans have to be approved by the national environmental office (Secretaría Nacional del Ambiente - SEAM). At certain intervals SEAM sends its inspectors, who verify whether the plans are being followed.

In addition, there are special regulations for the use of pesticides. These are meant to prevent the contamination of the environment and so the health of the population is not endangered.

The people of Neuland place a lot of value on nature. For example, in the Center and in its surroundings there are several natural and planted green spaces and parks. In addition, constant work is done to create awareness concerning environmental protection, be it in school, through specific projects, or through the Colony's newsletter.
