Assisting our Neighbors

The specially appointed Committee for Neighborly Assistance draws up and carries out projects for and with the neighbors (indigenous and Latin Paraguayan). That includes, among other things, also the resettlement project from Cayin ô Clim to El Paraíso, the Latin Paraguayan Cooperative Covepirizal and a school in Peniel.

ASCIM, an association of the three Mennonite colonies in the Chaco, is concretely responsible for monitoring and implementing settlements and projects where the indigenous settlers, for example, are instructed and trained in gardening or other production possibilities. Most of the indigenous schools are also within the area of responsibility of ASCIM.
