This former military base, named after the lagoon here, can be conquered on mysterious trails winding through the impenetrable Chaco bush, and is a must-see for every visitor to the Chaco. Here you can still find remains of a few trenches and bunkers, as well as the Paraguayan and the Bolivian military cemetery from the Chaco War during the 1930s.
To complete this historic site, a museum was opened showing artifacts as well as photos and the like to give the visitors a better insight into the events of that time.
